Carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas which is traditionally released through the process of cell respiration, but as human developments have evolved the emission amounts have dramatically increased. Now we associate Co2 emissions with burning fossil fuels like oil or coal. As these resources are constantly being burned, the amount of carbon dioxide in our atmosphere hasn't been this high for hundreds and thousands of years and its heating up our planet. Global warming is now a relevant problem and is already affecting us through climate change, sea level rise and much more. If our lifestyle keeps emitting this much carbon dioxide its only a matter of time before we kill the ecosystem and ourselves.
